VisionaryDefi Node

Download the full-node kit, install it, and let this same validating engine sync the chain. Mining is optional and stays off until you turn it on. The node never asks for a seed phrase. Detected system: your computer.

Protocol 1.14.0-testnet. The installer file below is the 1.10 kit — it starts this same engine. One kit for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is not a signed store installer and it does not replace consensus with a website.

Windows 10/11

  1. Install Node.js 22 LTS from the official nodejs.org installer.
  2. Unzip the kit. Open PowerShell in that folder.
  3. Run powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\start-full-node.ps1
  4. The script looks for the chain project (package.json) beside the kit or one folder up, then starts the node on port 8080.
  5. Open http://127.0.0.1:8080. Full node is on. Mining stays off.

macOS

  1. Install Node.js 22 (`brew install node` or the official pkg).
  2. Unzip the kit. In Terminal: chmod +x start-full-node.sh && ./start-full-node.sh
  3. Allow the folder in System Settings if macOS blocks the script.
  4. Data is stored in ~/.visionarydefi/testnet. The script does not delete an existing chain.
  5. Open http://127.0.0.1:8080 after the node prints that it is listening.

Linux

  1. Install Node.js 22 from NodeSource or your distro packages.
  2. Unzip, then chmod +x start-full-node.sh && ./start-full-node.sh
  3. Open port 8080 on localhost only unless you intend to publish RPC.
  4. Cherry, if configured with VDEFI_SEED_PUBLIC_URL, is one seed. It is not a consensus authority.
  5. Stop the node with Ctrl+C. That closes the process after the current tick. Do not kill -9 unless the process is stuck.

Sentry and hidden core

Public sentries take the traffic. The machine that mines can sit behind them and refuse everyone else. Identity ports stay 18880 and 18881. This build serves /p2p on the node web port. The files do not open Monero’s ports and they do not contain keys.

Set VDEFI_NODE_ROLE=sentry on the public hosts and VDEFI_NODE_ROLE=core on the miner. Point VDEFI_SEEDS at the sentry /p2p URLs. Leave the role unset on a normal full node.

After it is running

  • Full node: the home page height, peers, and tip come from this engine. They are not placeholders.
  • Mining: open Mine, paste a public VDefi address, then start. Never paste a seed or private key.
  • Ghost Ledger stays the wallet. This node only validates and can mine to a public address.
  • To add the chain in a wallet, use the network card on the Info tab (magic 56444631, HRP tvdefi on testnet).
  • Upgrading the app does not delete ~/.visionarydefi. Uninstalling the website does not erase that folder.
